World Cup post-game : Japan beat Cameroon 1-0 in Group E

Keisuke Honda scored in the first half Monday to lead Japan to a 1-0 win over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Group E of the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have failed to give glory to Africa as they come crumbling in front of Japan. Honda’s goal allowed the Japanese to earn a historic victory. The Lions are returning to their den heads down after the Warriors of Japan gave them a 1-0 spanking in the second group E game.

Japan scored the lone goal at the 39th minute In the 39th minute with Honda. The ball of Daisuke Matsui just sailed over the heads of two Cameroonian defenders and landed at the feet of Honda, who coolly the ball home from close range.

The Cameroonian team seemed to be the better side at the beginning but thwarted several opportunities with shoots off target.

Its the first time the Indomitable Lions lost their opening match in the World Cup finals since 1982. Cameroon is now third in group which is lead by Netherlands having three points and two goals, who are followed by Japan with three points and one goal while Denmark the tails the group with no point and two goal deficit.
