Rafael Nadal Wins Second Men’s Wimbledon title

Rafael NadalRafael Nadal Wins the 2010 Wimbledon Men’s title by defeating Tomas Berdych in straight sets 6-3 7-5 6-4. “It is more than a dream for me”, said Nadal.

At this Wimbledon Championships Nadal beat Kei Nishikori and was taken to the limit by Robin Haase winning. After that, Rafael Nadal defeated Philipp Petzschner in the third round. He was warned twice for receiving coaching, resulting in a $2,000 fine by Wimbledon officials. He met Paul-Henri Mathieu of France in the round of 16 and comfortably beat Mathieu. In the quarter-finals, he got past Robin Soderling of Sweden in 4 sets and he defeated Andy Murray in straight sets to reach his fourth Wimbledon final.

Rafael Nadal thanks the crowd for being both kind and supportive to him and his adversary during the match and in the semi-final against Andy Murray. The win gave him a second Wimbledon title and an eighth career major title[83] just past the age of 24.
