Men’s Camp in Philippines

Almost 800 Filipino laymen and pastors converged April 29 – May 1, 2010 at Jabez campsite south of Manila for the 1st National Men’s Camp. The event, themed “ MEN’S REV – Real Revolution,” had large delegations of Church of God men from each region – Metro Manila, Mindanao, Northern Luzon, Visayas and Central/Southern Luzon.

The main speakers – Overseer Marcos Ligero, CBN Asia/700 Club Host Peter Kairuz and Metro Manila Overseer Anthony Velasco – shared deeply inspiring messages and timely instruction for the men. Every seat emptied during Pastor Velasco’s altar call invitation for the men to purify themselves and pledge to become “Fire Starters” of love and ministry in their families, churches and communities. A full day of team building sports activities at the Orchard Club resulted in Mindanao as overall champions.

“It was amazing and wonderful to witness the fellowship, bonding and building up of these God honoring men in the Philippines,” stated Regional Superintendent Marc A. Morris. “Each ministry session, sport activity and free time for fellowship were saturated with the joy and presence of the Lord! Lives were being changed and challenged for a real spiritual revolution in the Philippines!”

The camp steering committee, led by men’s ministry president Oyet Miranda, camp director Jay Tabana and Pastor Rhonz Pepito, organized each part of the program. Provisions of food, prizes and camp souvenirs were in abundance. For more information and viewing of additional camp pictures, you can visit the Philippines Church of God Men’s Ministry website at:
