Edge Media Set to Redeem the Philippines’ Airwaves from ‘Air Pollution’

Chuck Quinley, The Edge Media CEO

The Edge Media, a Christian media organization based in the Philippines, believes that it is poised to “redeem” the airwaves of the Philippines from what it calls “air pollution” and also to effectively spread the Word of God.

Addressing a group of church leaders in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, during a consultation, its Network Manager, Ron B. Titular said that his organization will “redeem the airwave from satanic forces that have dominated it for so long now.”

According to Titular, the group is building “an army of media missionaries” who will speak the Word of God through the radio, television, internet etc. stressing that the media is a battle field of today and a place where hearts are to be won for God.

He noted that The Edge Media plans to be the Christian station of choice in the Philippines adding that they’re at the “edge” where churches can’t go and as such needs the churches to partner with them in the fulfillment of their divine assignment.

In an earlier statement, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chuck Quinley said that they are an affiliate of an international media group called the United Christian Broadcasters (UCB International) that helps launch Christian media ministries in many nations of the world.

“We are headquartered in Makati, Metro Manila, where you’re welcomed to visit us and tour the studios. We’re a young, lean organization full of big ideas about how we can all help our beloved Philippines reach its full potentials as God’s Pearl of the Pacific,” he stated.

Quinley noted that the UCB Initiative for Asia (UCBIFA), through The Edge Media, casts contemporary Christian music and great teaching programs on www.theedge.ph adding that the radio is already on 104.3 FM in Davao City, 90.3 FM in Lucena City and radio channel 3 on the Dream Satellite Network, while that of Dumaguete City will be in operation by the early part of 2011.

He said that his organization apart from broadcasting, trains and raises up Media Missionaries through The School of Edge and also publishes The Word 4U Today, a quarterly youth devotional.
