Church of God : Classrooms Needed in Peru

Peru is located on the western side of South America next to Ecuador, Columbia, Brazil, Chile and Bolivia. Twenty-nine million people live in Peru, with one-third in Lima, the capital city. The country is divided into three regions: the coast, the mountains, and the rainforest.

Peru has rich mineral resources, but 35% live below poverty level. Fifty percent of the population is between 20 and 50 years of age.

The Church of God entered Peru in 1947 when Vessie Hargrave accepted Pastor Hipolito Astete into the Church of God. We now have 610 churches, 75 missions, and over 25,000 adult members, plus a Bible School and two orphanages.

The national overseer is Tito Apestegui, and Joel Martinez serves as education director.

We presently need $6,000 to construct three classrooms. Can you help us?
