Church of God Called to Prayer for Bus Victims in Chattanooga, Tennessee

CLEVELAND, TN: Dr. Tim Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God issued a call to prayer for those impacted by the bus accident in Chattanooga, Tennessee :

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the children and the families impacted by the tragic bus wreck in Chattanooga today, as well as to the first responders who experienced this tragedy first hand while quickly moving to rescue and aid the victims. For the families of those who lost their child or had a child who was injured in this horrendous tragedy, we cannot begin to imagine the hurt and pain that you are feeling now – but we lean on the knowledge and strength that we serve a God who walks with us even through the ‘valley of the shadow of death.’ Most importantly, we rest assured that ‘the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart’ (Psalms 34:18, NKJV).”

The Church of God family joins with those across our region praying that God’s goodness and mercy will be with all the faculty, students, and families at Woodmore Elementary School during this time of tragedy.
