Cameroon’s Independence celebrations in London

Cameroonians living in London have celebrated the country’s 50th anniversary of independence and reunification.

The high points of the celebration were a cultural evening at the Kensington Town Hall. The Cameroonian community in London organised an ecumenical service at the Westminster cathedral and a diplomatic reception at the Royal Kensington Hotel.

The activities were coordinated by Cameroon’s High Commissioner to London, His Excellency Nkwelle Ekaney.

He reaffirmed his determination to foster trade and tourism with the United Kingdom.
