FOCUS Children’s Ministries Conference celebrates 18th Anniversary

By  Published: 19th January 2012

The annual FOCUS Children’s Ministries Leadership Conference celebrates the 18th year of continued training. Beginning with the first conference in Ashville, North Carolina, the conference has continued to be a primary instrument for training local church children’s ministry leaders and workers. The 2012 annual conference will be held March 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina.

This year’s conference includes special guest speakers Allyson Evans, a NextGen Team Leader at LifeChurch.tv, with lead pastor Craig Groeschel, Justyn Smith, the Children’s Pastor at South Hills Church in Corona, CA. He is returning by popular demand of those attending the 2011 conference! Also returning are ventriloquists and illusionists, Tim and Amanda Cowles who will provide training, as well as entertainment. They are also specialized in rod-arm puppetry. Ka*Pop will be the special music guests for the weekend.

Middle school ministry leaders will enjoy a track of workshops planned with middle school ministry leaders. The Fantastic World’s twin brothers, Matthew and Jared Young will provide entertainment. There will also be specialized workshops in girls and boys ministries. A full line-up of guest speakers, 32 workshops appealing to a wide variety of ministry areas, a track for Spanish-speaking leaders, a track for middle school ministry leaders, and many resource exhibitors will provide the opportunity for local church ministry leaders to be encouraged, trained, motivated, and inspired. A children’s ministry training certification will also be offered to provide pastors the opportunity to send their children’s ministry leaders for specialized training certification.

Pastors who desire greater effectiveness in reaching the 4/14 window will want to register their leaders and workers for this conference! Transform the next generation of leaders by reaching them now in the 4/14 window! No investment is too great for this mission! The offices of Youth and Discipleship believe in training and are endeavouring to provide quality training for local church workers and leaders.
